For Prospective Students

Admission

Undergraduate students
Students who pass the "Privately Financed Overseas Student Entrance Examination" and enter a university faculty.
Application Qualifications
  • The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) gives the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) every June and November. Privately-Financed Students wishing to study at the University of Miyazaki must take this test before applying for entrance.
  • Students are required to have completed 12 years of education in their home countries.

Graduate students
Students who are seeking a master's degree, a doctorate degree, or who are conducting research under the guidance of an advisor.
Application Qualifications
Master's Degree seeking students are required to have completed 16 years of school and Doctorate students are required to have completed 18 years of school.
Application requirements, method and period of study will differ according to graduate course.

Postgraduate research students
Students who are conducting research under the guidance of a university advisor. These students are not degree-seeking and will not be awarded credit.
Application Qualifications
  • Students are required to have a bachelor's degree.
  • Or an equivalent qualification
